A teenager in a quaint Kolkata neighbourhood falls in love with a girl who gets off her school bus every afternoon near his house and nurtures his love as the years pass by. A young entrepreneur turns to work and alcohol to get over the pain of losing the love of his life till she unexpectedly walks back into his arms in a party. A billboard advertisement reveals a shocking truth to a man who has lost his wife and his memory in an accident. An insecure boy fears losing an attractive girl forever when she breaks all contacts with him after they have made love. As a girl nurses her broken heart, she meets a stranger on the Internet.

"Loves Lost" is a collection of five heart-warming stories with surprise endings about love lost, found or left unprofessed in the deepest recesses of the heart.

Reading the blurb, we know what this book is about. A collection of 5 short stories that talk about loves lost and in a few cases, love found!

I have already read A special day, The cookery show and a love story , The sinners by the author and enjoyed reading all 3 titles. So I knew this book too will be as good as expected.

These five short stories come with a twist in the ending which is really nice. Some of the stories are about love untold, lost lost, looking for love, being betrayed in love, misunderstang in love, etc. Its not just about being in love or losing the love but rather takes you though the different patches with a twist in the end which make you go 'Ah'!!

It's not just the types of love that is being brought out here but also so many emotions! Some stories are sad, some makes you happy, there is one that brings a tear in the eyes.

Four of the stories are from the male point of view and one is through the womans voice.

These stories are something that are good to read when you are not into the romance genre. There is no mushiness and does not make you cringe. That is the best part of these short stories!

The title of the book is apt and so is the cover. The writing is crisp and to the point and conveys the story clearly.

It is a quick read and can be done within an hour.

This is one of those books that you can pick up when you have less time on hand or during travel and want to read something short and sweet. Go for it even if you are not into romance genre. The surprise ending will really make it an interesting read!
