November 2020 - Book Haul

The birthday month was totally jazzed up with a book buying spree. almost 60 books from Bookchor.com and I totally loved each purchase.

Some of these books were bought for the beautiful covers, some because they are hardbound books, some for the titles, some to fit in the prompts for the various reading challenges and some for the kids.

I have moved on to reading more biographies instead of non fiction and that's why you can see so many of those in the list.

I'm in love with each and every book that I purchased even though I am officially broke!

October 2017 - Book Haul

After a really long gap, I am writing a post here. I have been reading a lot, yet I never come here to write the reviews. As much as I want to, I hardly find time to write them down!!

So, here is the book haul #1 for this month. I will do another post with the books that I won in giveaways and those that came in for review..

This haul is from Bookchor. Though I have been eyeing books on this site since a long time, it was only a few weeks back that I ordered these.

Total books - 7
How much I spent - INR 540/-

Will be back soon with the rest of the haul...

February 2016 - Book Haul

After the huge haul of January, I wanted to restrict the buying.

The first book here came for review and you can read about it here...

The promotional sales, tempted me yet again and I gave in!

This one, I won in a giveaway.Yayyy!!!

These were on sale online and came at a throwaway price. How could I resist!!

The last book was the one that was in my wishlist for long. So now I have 4 books from this series. Need one more to complete it...

The folks at paper boat drinks are really sweet They sent in this illustrated book which my kiddo loves!

That is all for Feb,folks..

January 2016 - Book Haul

I love writing this post!! The new books that adorn my shelves are something I look forward to each month...

I got the books on 3 installments this month.Let's take a look.

These books cost 501.My spending limit on books is 1000 bucks so I had to really wait and order since these arrived on the first week of Jan. The waiting period was truly cruel!

I had pre ordered this book on an online store but that site couldn't dispatch the book .So when I saw it on another site, that too on a discount, I ordered it without a second thought.

But then my budget just shot to the stars when there was an online mega sales. I just wished someone would hide away my laptop so that I won't look at the books on sale. And the best worst part was there were hourly deals with new books being offered at a discount of 6o to 85 %.OMG! What a cruel[in a good way,of course] time!!!!

And this is the book that came in for review...

Total books - 16

Total amount spent this month  -1944/- And with it goes my budget for Feb as well.So probably you won't see a Feb Book haul post :(

But there is one consolation this month. Yesterday I picked up a box full of books from mom's attic. It has some interesting books and opening those books made me so nostalgic..More about it tomorrow...

December 2015 - Book Haul

From this month on I plan to post pics of the books I get for each month. Its a small way to show love towards my book blog which I have not been updating regularly.

So here are the books that I purchased this month..

First one is of the books that I purchased online. There was a big discount on books and I didn't want to miss out the deals. So all these books here cost only INR 811/-

The twilight saga was from a used book store and I still have wait for the final volume. These books cost INR 300/-. Considering that these are the imported editions and look good as new, this is surely a good deal..

Kalki - Selected story is the book I picked up from mom's home. I was cleaning out some boxes and found it there.Dad said he got it in some garage sale long back and that it cost almost nothing. So I will count is as a free book :)

The other 2 books were sent in for review..

Stats:

Total Books - 18
Amount spent - INR 1111/-
No. of books read from this months haul - 2  [Those are the ones that came in for review]
